No matter how well we take care of ourselves, there is still some toxin formation in the body. We can control our diet, exercise, catch plenty of sleep and drink 8 glasses of water a day but we also need a daily detox. Detox is short for detoxification which means removing the harmful toxins from the body. Living a modern lifestyle, we cannot get rid of them completely but we can reduce them drastically and save ourselves from multiple diseases. Here are a few simple tips for daily detox.

  • Starting the day with lime juice in warm water is a great way to detox. It helps is clearing the bowels and the ideal time for this is before 6am but you can take it as soon as you get up.
  • Water, water and more water. 8 glasses a day is a good rule. If you forget drinking water, set a time for it at least 2-3 times a day! You can carry a bottle of water in your bag for easy access.
  • Avoid preserved and refined food. Eat organic, local and fresh as much as possible.
  • Use natural skin care and home care products.
  • Use a dry body brush before going for a shower every day, once or twice.
  • Breathing exercises: There are lot of breathing exercises which you can do to cleanse your system of toxins. The breath has the capacity to remove as much as 90% of the toxins in your body and deep breathing is better than any of the methods shared above.
